Robert Hofmann
Robert Hofmann grew up on Lake Maggiore in Nothern Italy, and started Windsurfing in the early 80s.
He competed on very high level in World Cup (PBA ) in the early 90s (5 th in Slalom, and 9th in waves his best results), and has always shared his passion for Windsurfing with others, and runs now a very successful Windsurfing academy with Clinics Worldwide.
Robert has won 2 IFCA GM Slalom World Titles in 2012 and 2014 and is ISWC European Master Speed Champion 2015, and 5 times Italian Speed Champion.
He went to the chanel in Luderitz in 2017 and immediatly broke the magic 50kn barrier on 500m. An archievment that nobody over 50 years did at his first attemp in the World.
Rob (that’s how friends call him) lives in Latina (60 km South of Rome) and enjoys all moments on the water. In winter&spring with nice wavesessions and in Summer with a lot of Foiling!!
Rob says: “ I love every aspect of Windsurfing. From a nice wave day at my homespot with 2-3 m waves to the flat water of Leucate in the South of France where recently I did peaks of 50 knots on open waters, to the Foil sessions in 7 knots!!
